Broken Nose, Broken Heart, and Broken "Pee-Pee"

Nothing that playing in the dirt can't fix!!!!!



My cutest buddy is having a rough time. He fell and bonked his nose last weekend, and I took him to the doctor today and he said that he probably broke the cartlidge, but it will heal on it's own. So his nose and eyes are all black and blue (can't see it in these pics--but of course my sister Julie came all the way to st george to take pics just in time for the bruised face--so you'll be able to see them on her blog!)
Then, while we were at the doctors, he heard a heart murmer. Which, he was born with but no doctors have heard it again until today.
AND THEN, to top it all off......his poor little "pee-pee" didn't get circumsized right, so the doc had to push and pull and squeeze (and ya, not fun) and rip apart his little thing and then told us we needed surgery. Poor little buddy, he keeps pointing down there and saying....."ow...pee-pee"....so sad.
So......re-telling my mom and dad on the phone today about his appointment....we realized.....he has a broken nose, heart and "pee-pee". How do we make everything better.........PLAY IN THE DIRT WITH TRUCKS!!!!! I love my buddy. He is so special to me. He loves his momma, and I'm so thankful for his little smiles, and his faces when he's trying not to smile! I love how "all boy" he is...and how dirt, tractors, dogs, and his BYU hat, just brighten up his day! I SURE LOVE YOU BUD! Don't worry, your broken nose will heal, your murmer will most likely go away, and your "pee-pee" will get fixed and be the best lookin one out there (they really told me that!--girl toddlers--get in line now for a date when he's older!) but you're mommy, the dirt, your tractors and Sparticus the dog will always be here when you need us!!!!!!!!

I Love America!!!

So, the past couple of days I've experienced some wonderful things! One was watching the Biggest Loser. I have watched a couple seasons, only a couple because I try not to watch it because I know once I do I'll get hooked. That has already happened this year--Brian and I were watching it the other night, and oh my goodness...tears were flowing. This show just gives me good feelings, and while I was watching it, I had hope in America and the good people living here. There were people doing such nice things for each other. Then, if anyone else saw it...the end was so heartbreaking. I have a hard time watching/seeing elderly people, because I just want to hug 'em and I always worry so much about them. If they are okay, if they are getting takin care of....oh they break my heart....anyway....that was a tear jerker.
Then, today, my mother-in-law called me and told me to turn on the TV, that a plane had landed in the Hudson River.......and miraculously everyone was okay. I was listening to these announcers talking about what a miracle it was, and how quickly everyone responded, like the boats getting there 2 minutes later to take people to shore. It amazes me how quickly we all unite when there is a crisis. I found myself tearing up watching the breaking news reports, probably because it's always such a good feeling seeing something so shocking like that, and knowing that God's hand was definitely present, and that everyone was okay, and so many people were helping.
My husband has also been reading about our American history, so we've had conversations lately about how lucky we are to live here, and how much our ancestors have done to get us here. We are so lucky.
And I don't know how anyone can live in America and not know there is a God, just turn on your TV and watch the Biggest Loser. or read about that plane crash. And God Bless America.........and our Economy!!!!!!!

This lady is amazing~ It's hilarious how I've heard all of these things from my own mother, and it's SOOOO SADDDD because I've only been a mom for 4 years now and I've probably said more than half of these mom phrases already!!!!! Should I laugh or cry??????

Im a Twilight Geek-Skip this post if you're not!

Okay, so I don't know what it is about Stephenie Meyer and her amazing talent to make me fall so in love with something not real. But-it's happened. And now to make things worse-the movie came out. I had NO hopes of it, and almost refused to see it because of Edward. But, actually the first time I saw it, I really liked it. I really like the cast and the music and felt like they did a great job making it. (not perfect---but honestly did you really expect it to be--it can't). Anyways, I saw it again....and IM LIKE IN LOVE with the movie. I keep finding myself craving to see it again, and it just has sparked a whole new level of this Edward and Bella thing for me. I feel like I need to talk to a shrink because I SOOOO want it to be real and I want my husband to be a vampire and say things like...."Do you know how long I have waited for you"....and I want my new in-laws to all be vampires and to totally protect me...and I want someone to come after me so that my husband can fight them off with his steaming hot muscles (because oh yes, Edward, he does have those- where in the movie you are definitely lacking) and I want it to be dangerous to kiss----cause I mean come on, can you imagine how FUN that would be!!!!!!!
Can someone please talk to me about this............i think my mom and sisters are sick of me talking about it, and well Brian, he's just REALLY confused, because I keep explaining it to him little bits at a time....and the whole Vampire, vegetarian, thing just isn't really grabbing his attention. I feel like this is a new drug for me.......and I would really appreciate some empathy and some Twilight Geek friends. I'm kinda scared to admit I'm going to see it again tomorrow with my mom----I want to see it as much as I can in the theater......anyone want to go with me? Or just talk to me about it??? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

Im Thankful for........

Im so thankful for my family! So thankful that I could be here with my family!!! I'm so thankful for my husband and kids and for the church of jesus christ of latter day saints, and of course for my Savior, Jesus Christ, and for this world we live in and for mountains, and friends, and Edward & Bella, and the movie Twilight, and for horses, and Julie's new photography blog....julieburtonphotography.blogspot.com......she's amazing!!! And she's making me write this post because supposedly I never update my blog. WHATEVER!!!!!!!

OCTOBER IN REVIEW---THIS ONE COUNTS!

Let's see this month we were busy!

Aislee turned FOUR! She has been so excited for her birthday this year, and she got a special present from the Disney Princesses, they sent her an ivitation to Disneyland!!! So she got to go see them and have them sign her book again this year! SOOOO FUN! And Terri, I feel the same way about Disney...I used to think I would NEVER be such a Disney Geek, but it's a whole different story when you take your kids they and everything becomes so magical and real! I LOVE IT!

We also went to the beach and saw dolphins!!!!! It was so pretty and my kids loved it, and the weather was AMAZING!

We got to see our friends Aaron, Camille, Ellie, Chloe, and Sydnie while we were in California. They moved there from PA the same time as us. Aislee loved seeing familiar faces, and really enjoyed being with her friends!!! SO DID WE!

We've also just been enjoying the nice weather, going on lots of walks and we even tried to go on a nature hike and collect fall leaves....and remembered we live in a desert......but we are loving St. George!!!
