Keagan and I have formed a "club". It is called the "grandkids club".

This club consists of Grandpa Rick as the CEO.

For your information, our first scheduled activity is the first Saturday when Aislee (our secretary) comes to the CEO's home. We will have a short Presdiency meeting before our zoo trip to vote on who may be invited besides me and the full-time members. We will let you know.

Keagan, as the president has requested a picnic lunch for members only on that day. Also, our club needs to purchase a small picnic table for the fire-pit area. The CEO will collect dues for this purchase.

At the end of our zoo activity, the club will select the next activity and date. An announcement will be made at that time.

As CEO, I ask that you share these callings and assignments with your children and provide any parental training that may be required for them to be successful!

It's Official~We are Moving

What a bitter-sweet moment we are in right now in our lives. I absolutely am in love with our ward out here in Allentown, Pennsylvania. We have made the very best of friends out here, and our testimonies have grown immensly. We definitely will never forget the families that have welcomed us and made us apart of their families out here. There is so much work left to be done, but for us, oppurtunites have come up so that we might return to our families! I am SOOOOOOO excited to be closer to my Mom and Dad, and beautiful sisters. I truly have the best family in the whole wide world. Aislee is so excited to be with her Papa and cousins, and I'm excited for little Easton to get to know his grandparents and cousins more!
I remember having a really hard time one Sunday missing my family, and the YW President who I am working with gave me a big hug and told me that oppurtunities would arrive when they were supposed to, and in the last few months they have, and I couldn't be more thankful! I'm so thankful to have spent apart of my life out here! I can't wait to see all my Ward family again in heaven-------no crying.......I know I'll see some of them before then, but what a great feeling knowing that we will all be together forever!
And to my family~~It has been so hard only seeing you all a few times a year, and harder calling you all on the phone when you are all together. But the hardest is definitely when little Aislee starts to cry because she misses you all. (Remember the sad Christmas phone call Mom & Dad??) I can't wait to play with my nieces and nephews more, and just to hang out!

Architechtural Digest Home Design Show in New York

So, last weekend, I went to the AD Home Design show in New York City. It was so awesome! I hate driving in the city, because there is so many oppurtunities when driving into and out of New York to take a wrong road/exit. But driving in was great, and there wasn't any traffic, so I made it in about an hour and 15 minutes. The show was on Pier 94, and so I parked on top of the Hudson River, and there were these HUGE cruise ships parked right next to me. Pretty crazy.
The Show was great, I'm so glad I went! I got a lot of new ideas for designing homes, and I even got to talk to Joe Berkowitz, who is a big designer out here. He gave me a lot of good insights for a project I'm working on, and for my business.

That is some crazy Italian painted hardwood floor! If I had a second life and lived in a Studio apartment in New York, I'd want that floor!
Then, after the show I went and did some shopping on Lexington and about 58th, it was so foggy! Why Lexington and 58th??? Because not only is their an H&M, and a Nine West, a Gap, Banana Rep, and another really cool shoe store, but there is also a Container Store, such a fun store for a person who likes containers, lists, and all sorts of other organization tools to help me become "more organized"!
THEN, on my way home, I made it out of the city, but took a wrong turn/way/exit, don't know really what to call it because its sOOOOOO confusing, and ended up at the Newark airport. Thankfully found my way back, and made it home safe!

What a day!!!

The END of Chinatown, Canal St, and Knock-off purses

So, I'm not sure if any of you are aware, but on February 26th, Canal Street in New York was raided by the NYPD, and all of the knock-off items were confiscated. Sad day for me, because there is no way I will pay $300-$1500 for real purses. I know, I'm cheap, but the $30 for a knock off suits me just fine. Just two weeks before the raid, me and a few of my friends went and bought a bunch of purses for friends and family, and we have some left, so I decided to post them on my blog to see if anyone would like to buy them from us. Right now you still may be able to get some in a round about way if you go to New York, but I was just there yesterday for the Architectural Home Design Show, and then I did a little shopping on 58th street and Lexington, and usually you'll see a few stands even there with purses for sale, but NOTHING. Eventually, they are saying, NYPD will get individual warrants for all the shops who are selling fakes. So take advantage of these last few knock-off purses.

Q & A:
1. What was I doing ten years ago? I was a sophomore at Alta! I LOVED highschool! Probably thinking about the only thing that existed in my world back then: Friends, cheerleading, and boys!
2. 5 things to do today? 5 things I've done today: went to H&M in New Jersey, changed diapers, took Ais to preschool, dragged my sleepy children to YW's activity while my husband went to his Stake Scouts competition 45 minutes away, and talked to another YW leader about how DRAMATIC girls are.
3. What snacks do I enjoy? I love Orville's SmartPop Popcorn, apples and cheese (like you Jade), and Wegmans' cinnamon swirl bread-toasted!
4. What would I do if I were suddenly a billionaire? Give everyone in my family a million dollars, and then give a few million dollars to my bishop for him to divide up between the ward members that need help, pay for Carline in my ward (NICEST LADY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD) to go on a vacation, a fancy relaxing one to Hawaii, or on a cruise, donate money to American Idols' Idol Gives Back fundraiser for hungry children in US and Africa. Go visit every temple in the world, and all the other "Places I Want to Visit", so I can check them off my list.
Oh, and go shopping too!
5. 3 bad habits-
Going a little crazy in my head when I have whiny kids, not hanging my clothes up when I get undressed (I KNOW BRI, I admit it), and definitely going to bed WAY too late.
6. 5 jobs I've had
Juicetree--best highschool job ever, except for when Cortney Nelson told on me because I left work sick (I REALLY HAD CRAMPS CORT, I WASNT LYING) and then went to a party, and then got fired the next day. And then got re-hired when the boss that fired me got fired himself.
Convergys @ Utah State: Remember that Jode and Bev, oh the memories, my cowboy friend, our horseback riding hotties, and what was his name Bev?, so many wonderfully funny people!

Nanny in Connecticut--LOVED IT, best and worst job ever!

7. 5 things people don't know about me-
a. I hate it when there is rain on the windshield and my HUSBAND doesn't turn the windshield-wiper speed up higher to keep up with the rain. HATE IT. (that was our argument for the day) PS Pennsylvania had the wettest February EVER, that's how much it's been raining.
b. I've been to 16 different countries outside the US, and can't get enough of it! I LOVE to travel.
c. When I was 18, I fell down a 9 foot window well while toilet-papering a few weeks after having open-heart surgery. I really thought my chest split open again, and I kinda blacked out while Liz all of a sudden had god-like powers and lifted me out all by herself. You should have seen the bruise on my leg, I did the splits going down, and one leg slammed against the edge. I still have scar tissue and a dent on one of my inner-thighs from it.
d. One of my dreams is to play the guitar around a campfire and have everyone sing along.
e. In college, we went to a frat party, and me being SUPER naive, I see this kid with an ice cube tray with Jello in it, and I thought it was the coolest thing. I ran up to him and said is that jello? That is the coolest way to make it. He said do you want some? Of course, ya, so he spooned some up for me, put it in my mouth, and it burned like CRAZY going down my throat. All I said was, Ow, that burns.......he said, oh ya, I put a little too much Vodka in it this time. WHAT?????
Apparently there is not a course on "jello shooters" or "yes there really are things called Alchohol and drugs, especially at parties, FRAT ones too"......WHOOPS!

Starbursts and Hannah Montana

So, I had to hurry and blog this before I forgot.
I LOVE me and Aislee's potty talk. While I'm waiting for her to go potty she usually will tell me something really nice, like how much she love's me, or just the other day she told me how much she missed Utah, and it's like she's trying so hard to have a grown up conversation with me.
So, tonight during our potty talk session, this is what she told me: (in a grown up way)
"Mom, today at preschool I told my friends that my Daddy really really really loves Starbursts. And Mom, I don't really like Starbursts, but I like Hannah Montana" (which she's never even seen). I said, Really? And she proceeded, "Ya, I do. Some girls like Starbursts Mom, and some girls don't. Is that weird that I don't like Starbursts?" And I told her no, some people just don't like Starbursts. That was the end of our potty talk session. As I was smiling so big and thinking these are the moments when being a Mom is so fun, I went down to tell Brian the latest, "Guess what Aislee just said" moment.
He of course, explained to me, that when she was saying Starbursts, she was meaning to say Star Wars. Apparently Aislee and her daddy have been having Star Wars conversations, and Aunt Jade gave us some Starburst candy before we left for PA, so she got them a little mixed up!
OKAY, that makes a little more sense!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (You might need to re-read what she told me!)
CUTE LITTLE GIRL!

Paris, Las Vegas

Brian and I got to stay in a suite in Vegas the night before we had to come back to PA! It was so fun, like a mini-anniversary vacation. We went to the Cravings buffet at the Mirage, our favorite because of the super nummy best ever Macaroons. MMMmmmmm. Oh, and Bri likes the Prime Rib! And the Bellagio was right across from our hotel, and the fountains are amazing!
The next morning, I got the cutest pictures of Easton and Aislee looking out the window enjoying the view, it entertained them for minutes!

DEFEAT!

Ummmm, probably the biggest accomplishment while visiting family for a couple days up in Salt Lake was...................well let's first talk about some other accomplishments before I reveal the #1.

I helped Ju and Mom complete the puzzle!

Got to FINALLY hold my little neice Olivia, and give Owey a BIG hug!
Aislee FINALLY got to show her cousins her Sleeping Beauty dress from Santa.
Kohey is so FREAKIN cute!

Keagan can play Nintendo, and can read?? WHAT? He's getting too big.
Went to my Shade conference with Linds, and I didn't even win a prize, but Linds did.
Had an old school Nintendo (yes, the FIRST Nintendo) competition with my brother in laws and Sisters.
Went to lunch with Mom and sisters and NO kids!~~~Thanks Dad!
Got to see my cute Grandma JoJo!

All the grandkids got to go see Alvin and the Chipmunks with Grandpa! (and Jill to help with potty breaks!)
And of course having the BEST family in the world is a HUGE accomplishment, so besides that fact.......

Best Buds

Keagan LOVES little Easton! He is so cute with him, and it makes me so happy, because being far away is hard, and I'm just glad that they know and love him so much. The fact that this is only the 4th time Keagan has ever seen little Easton makes me so incredibly sad.

But when they do see each other it's like they've been buds every day of their lives!

Vacation to Utah--Part 1

So, we just got home from a nice WARM vacation to Utah visiting family and taking care of certain businesses! INCLUDING my new business I started. Most of the time in St. George I was out and about designing a home that is being built in The Ledges. It was great, something that I absolutely LOVE doing. I toured some "Parade of Homes" Homes, and Brian and his Dad and brother and Uncle worked on their Ledges Home that they are building, which was next door to a Parade of Home House. So it was a huge thing for all of us!
My parents were also in St. George on vacation so the kids and I were able to spend time with them as well!
We had so much fun!
Thanks Brian's parents and my parents for such a wonderful visit!!!!!

I think Aislee's favorite part of the trip was seeing her cousins! They had so much fun together, and I LOVED seeing my nephews and my cute little niece!
